FarmPermaculture Farm and Ecocamp
Our living laboratory in Londres includes a 4.5-hectare farm and 300 meters of Naranjo River, distributed in half primary rainforest and half cleared land for cultivation. At present we have a nursery, gardens with edible and medicinal plants and fruit trees growing. We have a campground with several campsites spread in the gardens. Thanks to a reforestation project years ago the farm is part of the Biological Corridor that connects the rainforests in the mountains with Manuel Antonio National Park at the coast.
We practice Permaculture gardening methods and Analog Forestry for ecosystem regeneration and food forest establishment. We process medicines and foods we harvest and run an organic fertilizers production station fed by the organic waste we produce, and of some of the surrounding community and hotels. The intention is to produce compost that is available to the community to promote organic agriculture in the region.
